With Winter conditions outside, survival is constant for wildlife. Searching for food is a constant chore, and with all the snow we have had in the Pacific Northwest that past week, life becomes even more of a challenge. I joined my winged subjects out in this Winter wonderland and got intimate with them on their level, laying in the snow while they foraged for a meal.
My Lens Coat Rain Jacket for my Canon super-telephoto lens worked perfectly in protecting my lens and camera body from the elements, that is until I accidentally filled my lens hood with snow 🙂
The photograph of the Song Sparrow was photographed with a Canon 1D Mk IV and Canon 500mm lens: f/4, 1/1000 sec., ISO 400, Aperture priority, +1.67 Exposure Compensation
