When photographing wildlife from the water, not only do you get completely different scenery as well as perspectives compared to shooting from land, but you have the chance to meet wildlife in a way that often times is less threatening to them, which may allow for closer approaches.
Being on the water has so many special attributes to me. I feel more at peace with the world when I experience the solitude nature has to offer out on a quiet lake, slow running stream, or other body of water.
I brought in a new day in one of the most wonderful ways I know how, from my kayak; peacefully moving along on a still lake with not a soul around. The sounds of nature: the sounds of the wildlife bringing in their new day, met me to bring in our day together.
